About Us
St. George's and St. Patrick's Episcopal Church, as the name implies, is the effort of two churches that have chosen to combine their ministries and gifts to better serve our community. This merger took place a little over 20 years ago and as we have worked through the changes in the dynamics of a merged congregation, we have grown into our own singularly unique congregation. One of the blessings which has remained constant is the children which fill the church daily. St. Patrick's had a growing day school ministry which St. George's graciously embraced. The beautiful sounds of the babies and children can be heard throughout the day, and it helps our church remain connected to the needs of the young parents we serve.
We have recently reworked our mission statement to signal our desire to continue growing and serving our surrounding community, as well as the Diocese of Texas and broader communities, as we continue to become the spiritually mature parish God intends us to be. Our rector, The Reverend Carol M. Blaine accepted our call to pastor St. George's and St. Patrick's in 2006. Her work in Spiritual Formation and the Community of Hope is an outward expression of her inward spiritual nature, which shows in all her offerings to us. She works diligently to help us in building a spiritually mature and hospitable congregation.
St. George's and St. Patrick's is a warm, friendly congregation rich in diverse peoples and gifts. We welcome you to our place of worship and pray you will find peace and joy within our midst.
We are a welcoming Christian Community learning and sharing
God's love through worship, fellowship and outreach.
