May Prayer Calendar
May 1 “And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.” Genesis 2:7 Creator God, help me to see every human being as beloved in your sight. Amen.
May 2 The Lord said to Moses, “…I am the Lord who heals you.” Exodus 15:26 Father, I seek the healing that comes from a deep relationship with you. Amen.
May 3 “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.” Deuteronomy 6:5 I am in awe, Lord God, that our relationship is based on love. Amen.
May 4 Joshua told the Israelites, “Sanctify yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you.” Joshua 3:5 Lord, help me to expect the blessings that come from devotion to you. Amen.
May 5 “And may he [the Lord] be to you a restorer of life and a nourisher of your old age…” Ruth 4:15 Thank you, Lord God, that you give my life eternal significance. Amen.
May 6 “For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7b May my heart and my character, be pleasing in your sight. Amen.
May 7 “Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! For his mercy endures forever!” 1 Chronicles 16:34 I can trust you, Lord God, because your mercy is great. Amen.
May 8 “But you are God, ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to anger, abundant in kindness and did not forsake them [your people].” Nehemiah 7:17 May I always remember, Holy One, that your character is unchanging. Amen.

May 13 “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise. Be thankful to him and bless His name. For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting, and his truth endures to all generations.” Psalm 100:4-5 Thank you, Lord, that praise is the gateway to your presence. Amen.
May 14 “Honor the Lord with your possessions, and with the firstfruits of all your increase; so your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats overflow with new wine.” Proverbs 3:9 Lord, may I use your gifts to me to further your kingdom. Amen.
May 15 “Pleasant words are like a honey comb, sweetness to the soul and health to the bones.” Proverbs 16:24 May my words be a source of encouragement and healing to others. Amen.
May 16 “Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is man’s all. For God will bring every work into judgment, including every secret thing, whether good or evil.” Ecclesiastes 12:13b-14 Holy One, may my reverence for you grow and my obedience to you be more complete. Amen.
May 17 “In returning and rest you shall be saved: in quietness and confidence shall be your strength.” Isaiah 30:15 Thank you, Abba Father, that your will for me is always for the good. Amen.
May 18 “ ‘For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,’ says the Lord, ‘thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.’” Jeremiah 29:11 I praise you, Triune God, as a God of hope. Amen.
May 19 The angel of the Lord said to Joseph of his betrothed, Mary: “…she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.” Matthew 1:21 Thank you, Lord, that my greatest hope is in your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen.
May 20 Jesus said to his disciples, “All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all other nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you …” Matthew 28:18-20 Lord God, help me to be a better disciples that I may bring others into your kingdom. Amen.
May 21 Jesus preached, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.” Mark 1:15 Holy spirit, help me to turn from my ways to God’s ways,. Amen.
May 22 Jesus said to the Pharisees, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.” Luke 5:31-32 Heal me of my self-righteousness, Lord Jesus. Amen.
May 23 Jesus told his disciples, “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” John 10:10 Lord Jesus, teach me what the abundant life is. Amen.
May 24 “For to be worldly-minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.” Romans 8:6 Lord God, focus me on the things of the spirit, the things of eternal significance. Amen.
May 25 “For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.” 1 Corinthians 6:20 May everything that I think, say, and do bring honor and glory to you, Holy One. Amen.
May 26 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17 Help me, Lord Jesus, to leave behind the old and embrace the new life which you have given me. Amen.
May 27 “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you;” Acts 1:8a I pray, Lord Jesus, that I may be filled to overflowing with your Holy Spirit. Amen.
May 28 “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20 Lord Jesus, help me to die to a life of self-centeredness and live in your love. Amen.
May 29 “Therefore, do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.” Ephesians 5:17 Lord, grant me the wisdom to know your will for my life. Amen.
May 30 “Let each of you look out not only for your own interests, but also for the interests of others.” Philippians 2:4 Lord Jesus, cultivate in me an attitude of humility.
May 31 “Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering;” Colossians 3:12 Triune God, give me the courage to grow in Christ-like character. Amen.
